Ofgem began the LCNF in 2010 as part of the previous price control, with £500 million to spend on innovative projects led by the DNOs. Six years on and the results have been astounding, with far-reaching implications for the entire energy system. As part of a case study-led seminar, Gary offers closer look at two LCNF funded projects and their findings.
Project FALCON and SYNC were both closely supported and delivered by SGC where new commercial arrangements were developed to help manage network constraints in conjunction with incentivising customers to modify their behaviour.
